What Is Employment Coaching

Employment & Wellbeing Coaching - what's that?

In a nutshell - we will support you into work or new employment by:

  • Answering your questions
  • Addressing your concerns or issues
  • Talking through options available to you
  • Creating a CV that represents you and your abilities
  • Helping you get the most out of job searching using job boards
  • Identifying your transferable skills or change of career path
  • Building your confidence around different interview scenarios and techniques
  • Practicing answering and asking interview questions
  • Supporting you into further training if that's what you want
  • Helping you learn basic IT skills
  • Providing English tutoring, if English is your second language or you need help with basic functional skills
  • Wellbeing coaching to improve confidence and reduce anxiety, or counselling if you just want to talk through any issues or barriers you are facing

...and all of this is free!

Our service is run by a team of independent professionals who have worked in a variety of different industries as employers, trainers, counsellors, coaches or consultants with ‘real life’ experience who want to pass on their knowledge and skills for the benefit of their community and the people who live within it. We offer a totally different and personalised type of support than Job Centre Plus and the DWP schemes but do receive referrals from them to complement the support they provide.

Our service is available online, via telephone, in-person from our offices in Willerby, or in small groups at community venues (travel costs can be reimbursed).
